নিজে reject হওয়ার পর একটা জিনিস experience করলাম যে যারাই naturally  confidence এর সাথে ans দিয়েছে তাদের ভিসা হইছে আর যারাই reject হচ্ছে তারা কথা বলতে আটকাইতেছিল/ ans দিতে অনেক দেরি করেছিল / এমন ভাবে ans দিতেছিল যেন  সারকে  paragraph মুখস্থ বলছে। এটা 90% এর ক্ষেত্রে দেখলাম ।

আমিও কথা বলা বলতে দুইবার আটকাইছিলাম এটাকেই reject এর কারন মনে করছি । যারা সামনে interview দিবেন ভালো করে answer এর  সুন্দরভাবে naturally react করার ability তৈরি করে যাবেন ইনশাআল্লাহ ভিসা হবে

আপনার কথা টা ভালো লাগসে,naturally react korar ability তৈরী করা।সবাই বলে যে সুন্দর করে উত্তর রেডি করে যেতে, এটা আসলে ই কাজ করে না।

তারা ক্যান্ডিডেট দের কাছে সত্যি জানতে চায়। তৈরী করা উত্তর না। আর কনফিডেন্স তৈরী হয় না উত্তর মুখস্ত করে। You need to practice a lot.

The interview was around 2 minutes may be.

Me: Good morning sir, How are you doing?

VO: Good morning! Please pass me your passport and I-20.

Me: Passed

VO: Looking very carefully, after 30 seconds he asked, what does your sponsor do?

Me: My father is a dentist. He did government service for more than 25 years in Rajshahi medical hospital. Also along with that, he owns a private dental clinic which is one of the top dental clinic in my city.

VO: What degree does your sponsor have?

Me: answered(my father has several degrees)

VO: Pass me your certificate and transcripts

Me: I passed my hsc, ssc certificate and transcript, Here it is sir…also then passed my jsc certificate and transcript, also this includes.

VO: Again looking at my face and observing my body language and I was sooo cool also kept a smile on my face. I was so confident like I own the building. Then he asked me, Can you smile?

Me: I smiled for like 1 minute 😜 cause at that moment it was an unexpected question and in my mind, I was happy that I will get the visa!

VO: I approve your visa with a smile and said bye bye have a great day!!

Me: (Passed them)…

VO: What type of classes you’ll be joining in your first semester?

ME:  (Told about the core and course curriculum);

VO: Oh…good! (nodding and smiling)….Who’s your sponsor?

Me: My father is a real estate investor and he’ll be sponsoring me.

VO: is it Corporate?

Me: No, he invests in buying apartments and sells them for profit.

VO: (Looked unhappy) Okay so which place?

Me: It’s at….(told…..name of two places outside Dhaka).

VO: How many properties does he own now?

Me: Right now, all the properties that are invested into are sold. We don’t own any properties at the moment. (Looked very unhappy) . . .

VO: Hmmm……!!!(started typing with an unhappy face) . .

Why missouri and morehead এমন স্পীডে question করছে, ভালো করে বুঝিই নাই।

এরপর Vo নিজেই এটার বর্ননা দিয়েছে। আমি বললাম Yes.

Vo: How many projects are currently running?

Me:  Now Running 30 projects, and 14 projects are small and 16 projects are big, all projects are in my home town.

তারপর 4/5 সেকেন্ড টাইপ করছিলো then,

Vo: Here is your passport ( ভিতরে 214B).

Me: Thank you sir, Have a nice day. উনি আমার আগের জনকে ফেরত পাঠিয়ে অন্য কাউন্টারে পাঠিয়েছে ( উনি 1st টাইম ওনার থেকেই Refused হয়েছিলো) তাই। তারপর আমাকে ডাক দিলো, এমন ভাবে বসে ছিলো, যেনো আমাকে Refused করার জন্যই বসে আছে।

The lady was maybe putting some inputs in the system ( i thought she already started to approve my visa)

Me: answered briefly

Lady: have u been to saudi arabia?

Me: I went on a pilgrimage

Lady: just Saudi? ( i think she was intended to give me the visa . She  asked questions but was ready to approve)

Me : yes..

Lady: im approving ur visa

Me: thank u , thank u so much!!!!

This interview didn’t take more than a minute

I was sitting there for about 30 minutes and during that time period no one’s visa got rejected

VO: How many Universities did you apply to?

Me: Pace University, Webster University, and California State University, San Bernardino.

(PS: I got acceptance by all but I choose Webster because the cost is feasible for me and the program courses are really good.)

Me: My parents are sponsoring me while I am going to study Webster. They have their save of XXX dollars, which is only for my study purpose.

And as I am doing the job for around 3 years I have my personal savings which are worth XXX dollars.

ভিসা অফিসার চাইলে ২/৩ টা প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞেস করে ছেড়ে দিতে পারে, আবার ১৫/২০ টা প্রশ্নও করতে পারেন। তবে মনে রাখবেন—

১. সৎ থাকতে হবে, মিথ্যা বলা যাবে না।

i20 এবং DS160 তে অসংখ্য ভুল থাকে- স্টুডেন্টদের এগুলো ভালোভাবে খেয়াল রাখা,

এবং ভিসা অফিসারের প্রশ্নের (স্টুডেন্টের নিজের প্রোফাইল অনুযায়ী) সঠিক উত্তর দিতে পারলেই ভিসা নিয়ে আসা সম্ভব।

“মনে রাখবেন আপনার কোথাও ভুল হলে ভিসা অফিসার এটা আপনাকে ধরিয়ে দিবে না বরং আপনাকে কনফিউজড করে রিজেক্ট করবে।”

১। যে university, থেকে i20 পেয়েছেন সেটা ভালো করে জেনে যাবেন। কোন সেশন ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সম্পর্কে।

আমি Expert নই। তাও কিছু বলতে চাচ্ছি।

২। আপনার source of fund / financial support কে দিচ্ছেন। এ সম্পর্কে ভালো তথ্য মাথায় রাখতে হবে।

৩। source of fund, বাবা হলে, বাবার আয়ের উৎস কোথা থেকে এটা ও ভালো করে জেনে যাবেন।

৪। পৃথিবীতে এতো এতো দেশ থাকতে USA তে কেন পড়াশোনা করতে যাবেন?

৫। দেশের বাহিরে অন্য কোন দেশে গিয়েছেন নাকি? (একেবারে অপশনাল প্রশ্ন) F1 সবাই কে জিজ্ঞেস করেনা।

৬। confident is good but not over confident. That’s okay.

বছরের 25 থেকে 30 হাজার ডলার খরচ করে আপনারা পড়াশোনা করবেন আমেরিকার মত একটা দেশে এই সামর্থকটা কয়টা লোকের পক্ষে সম্ভব একমাত্র ধনীর দুলাল দুলালী যারা তাদের জন্য আপনার ড্রেসিং ও সেই লূকটা থাকতে হবে আমার কথাটা অনেকে ব্যঙ্গ করবেন কিন্তু এটাই রিয়েল আপনার সবচাইতে বেস্ট ড্রেসটা আপনাকে পড়তে হবে

Answer based on the courses and syllabus; do not generalize answers too much. Be more specific

The reason why you choose this university should be clear. That means whenever you are asked about your University during the interview, you must highlight your personal perspective.

For example, maybe you know someone or any professor from this university or it could be the location or the weather.

Whatever it is that does matter to you and you should emphasize all those points during the interview. And keep praying to the almighty

একটা প্রশ্ন করে যাদেরকে রিজেক্ট করা হচ্ছে তারা আগে থেকে ডিসাইড করে রাখি কার প্রোফাইল রাখবে কার প্রোফাইল রিজেক্ট করবে কারণ অনেক আগেই আপনাদের প্রোফাইল গুলো ক্রস চেক করে নেয়

আসলে ভিসা পাবার ক্ষেত্রে এই যে আপনারা কাউন্টার নাম্বার আর ভিসা অফিসার কে এত প্রাধান্য দেন, এটাই সবচেয়ে বড় ভুল, গ্রুপের সিনিয়ররা সব সময় বলেন যে এগুলো কোনো ইস্যু নয়।

আপনার ds160 ফর্ম দেখে আগেই তারা সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে ফেলে যে কাকে ভিসা দিবে, কাকে দিবেনা, এটা অনেক অভিজ্ঞদের থেকে শুনেছি। শুধুমাত্র একজন ভিসা অফিসারের ২/৩ মিনিটের প্রশ্নোত্তর এর কারণে এত বড় সিদ্ধান্ত হতে পারেনা।

দয়া করে এই কাউন্টার নাম্বার আর ভিসা অফিসারকে নিয়ে গবেষণা বাদ দিয়ে, পিছনে কোনো ভুল আছে কিনা দেখেন, সেটা নিয়ে কাজ করেন।
